Owingsville Christian Church

The mission of our church comes from two key scriptures:

1. "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."  Matthew 5:16

2. The Great Commission:“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” Matthew 28:19-20

3.  The Two Greatest Commandments: “Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart…soul…and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” Matthew 22:36-40

From these three verses we developed our mission statement:

"Lead one another to Jesus.  Serve one another for Jesus.  Love God passionately and one another intentionally."

What to Expect.
  • A service designed to help you connect with God and learn His truth.  Our services are typically 1 hour and 20 minutes long.
  • A casual, comfortable environment.  You are surrounded by people who love God and love you. 
  • Church should be the most authentic place in your life, so there's no need to try to be someone you're not. Come as you are and make yourself at home.
    Whether you're wearing a suit and tie or shorts and flip-flops, you are welcome here!
  • We have a blended service of contemporary praise and worship and classic congregational hymns.

Our History.
Established in 1828, Owingsville Christian Church has been the focal point of the Owingsville community for nearly 200 years!
